Ludhiana gas leak: A day later, area is still sealed; forensic teams takes samples from the industry

Ludhiana News: The Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) and district administration have come into action after 11 people died due to a gas leak in Ludhiana. Forensic teams have been called to collect water samples from industries, which are collecting samples from industrial units in Ludhiana. These samples will be tested in the chemical lab built in Kharar.

Along with this, the administration has also taken possession of the DVRs of CCTV cameras installed in the area. A sewerage lid was found badly damaged some distance away from the spot where the accident took place.
It is suspected that the chemical has been poured from a tanker etc at that place. 
About 50 industries are running in the area where this accident took place it is yet to ascertained. Except for a few industries, none of them have treatment plants.
Due to the gas leak, the road from Sua Road to Golden Palace is still closed by the police. The area is still sealed. The effect of gas has been reduced to a great extent. Still, the elderly and children are not being allowed to go near the spot. Officers are constantly monitoring that area.
NDRF team is also present at the spot. At the same time, it is being told that a separate SIT can also be formed by the government in this case.
