Meet Hayer handed over appointment letters to 13 newly appointed candidates of PWRMDC

Mohali News: Water Resources Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer on Wednesday handed over the appointment letters to the newly appointed 13 candidates of the Punjab Water Resources Management and Development Corporation (PWRMDC) at Punjab Bhavan. Those who got appointment letters included 5 JEs, 2 Ziledar, 4 Clerks and 2 Tubewell Operators.

      Meet Hayer congratulated the candidates and said that this is the result of their hard work and now they should work diligently in the department. He said that the State Government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has provided jobs to more than 36,000 youth so far and providing employment to the youth is the top priority of the government.

      Meet Hayer further said that the Water Resources Department is directly connected with the farmers and the current government has restarted the water courses that were closed for decades, which brought canal water to the farmers till their tails. He said that the government is making continuous efforts to increase the area under canal water irrigation.

      Earlier, PWRMDC Chairman Ranjit Singh Cheema welcomed the Cabinet Minister and also welcomed the newly appointed candidates to the department.

     Principal Secretary Water Resources Krishan Kumar and MD PWRMDC Pawan Kapoor were also present on the occasion.
