Monsoon session of Punjab Assembly begins today

Chandigarh: The three-day monsoon session of the Punjab Assembly will begin on Monday. The session is expected to be stormy. Tributes will be paid to the departed personalities before the session. These include the names of many MLAs and freedom fighters, including Padma Shri poet Surjit Patar.

However, legislative business is likely to take place after the wreath-laying ceremony. But the final decision in this regard will be taken by the Business Advisory Committee. If the session is transacted, CM Bhagwant Mann can be present. The session will continue till September 4.
