New rules to replace coal in brick kilns with stubble from May 1

Chandigarh: Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has made many big announcements in this year’s budget.

For the first time in the budget, the border area has been mentioned. At the same time, a big announcement has also been made for 2500 brick kilns of Punjab.
Finance Minister Cheema has notified brick kilns to use 20 per cent paddy straw instead of coal. These rules will be effective from May 1, 2023.
Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema presented the Budget for the year 2023-24 today. The budget has been presented on the first anniversary of the formation of the AAP government in Punjab. This is the second paperless budget presented by the AAP government.
