“Not easy to risk your life for others”: Sukhbir Badal lauds ASIs who saved him

Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal was attacked on Wednesday morning while serving outside the Golden Temple during a religious gathering organised by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The attacker, identified as Narayan Singh Chauda, was swiftly apprehended.

Following the incident, Badal released his first statement, commending the bravery of Assistant Sub-Inspectors Jasvir Singh and Hira Singh, who intervened during the attack.

“It is not easy to put your life at stake to save someone’s life. Both ASI Jasvir Singh and ASI Hira Singh have been part of our family since the time of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal Saab. My family and I cannot express enough gratitude for their courage and loyalty,” Badal said. He also prayed for their well-being, wishing them a long and happy life.

Further investigations into the motive behind the attack are underway.
