Over 50 farmers booked for Longowal clash between police and farmers
Punjab E News: After the death of farmer Pritam Singh during a clash between the police and the farmers yesterday, the farmers have started a permanent morcha in front of the police station Longowal today. Meanwhile, the Longowal police have registered a case against 18 accused and 30 to 35 unidentified persons in connection with the incident.
According to the official website of Sangrur police, after the arrest of BKU Ekta Azad’s state leader Jaswinder Singh Soma, the farmers were going to gherao the Badbar toll plaza when the farmer leaders, instigating the general public, broke the barricades and started moving in different vehicles, due to which the protesters and police personnel were injured.
The protesters started their tractor trolleys and buses and other vehicles in which the kisan union workers, men and women, were sitting, and ran over the police personnel and protesters, causing injuries to several police personnel and protesters. Due to this, a case was registered.
