Punjab E News: The Kotwali police have registered a murder case against 23 people, including seven convict inmates and 16 under trials, in connection with the death of a constable in a gang war over an old rivalry in Kapurthala Modern Jail.
The police have also added various sections including the Prison Act and assault in this case. Kotwali police station is preparing to record the statements of three injured constables undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital. CCTV footage near the security ward and three barracks of the jail is also being scanned.
