Punjab all set for best road connectivity to boost trade activities in the state – Local Bodies Minister

Initiates work on two roads worth Rs. 90 lakh

Jalandhar City: Punjab Cabinet Minister for Local Government Mr. Balkar Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state is all set to get best road connectivity which will not only boost the trade activities but also ease out the inter city connectivity for people .

       While initiating the construction works of two different roads at a cost of Rs. 90 lakh in the city on Sunday, the Minister said that the Punjab government is continuously striving to provide the best road network to the people of the state.

        The construction of roads which were started today included Virk Enclave and Tower Enclave in Jalandhar city to bring great relief to the people.

        He also announced that all municipal corporations and municipal councils across the state would soon launch a special drive to strengthen the roads in their jurisdiction as monsoon season about to end soon.
         He also instructed the PWD and MC officials to submit new proposals for comprehensive development of city as the Punjab Government will provide funds for the future oriented projects to uplift the living standards of people .

        He also asked the MC officials that the road projects must be completed in given time frame while ensuring the quality control.
