Punjab Education Department to make DEOs answerable for dropout, students’ attendance to be uploaded on portal
Punjab News: The Education Department is constantly working to improve the education level of government schools in Punjab. Now, the department issued instructions that if the number of dropouts of students in government schools increases, then the DEO of that district will be responsible for it. If the number of drop out students increase, the DEO will face the consequences.

Separate links have been sent by the department to all schools in which they will upload the number of students who are absent and their details. One of the reasons for this is that some students leave the government school and get admission in other schools, but they do not get their names included in the government records. Due to this, the department has to face a lot of problems.
