Punjab government issues notification for transportation of sand and gravel

Chandigarh: The Punjab government has taken another important step to crack down on cheap sand and sand mafia. The government has fixed the rates of sand and gravel.

A notification has also been issued by the government in this regard.
According to a notification issued by the government, the transporter has been fixed at Rs 84.92 per tonne for transportation of sand and gravel up to 2 km, Rs 349.82 per tonne for a distance of up to 50 km, Rs 467.95 per tonne for a distance of 100 km and Rs 526.19 per tonne for a distance of 150 km.
Apart from this, the freight has been fixed at Rs 579.78 per tonne for a distance of 200 km.
