Punjab government promotes 12 IPS officers

Chandigarh: The Punjab government has simultaneously promoted 12 IPS officers, including one to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), 10 to Deputy Inspector General (DIG), and one to Inspector General (IG). Additionally, six officers have been granted section grade promotions.

Rakesh Agarwal has been promoted to ADGP, while Dhanpreet Kaur has been elevated to IG rank. Among the 10 officers promoted to DIG, one belongs to the 2008 IPS batch, and nine are from the 2010 batch.

The promoted DIG officers are Rajpal Singh, Harjeet Singh, J Elancheyjan, Dhruman H Nimbale, Patil Ketan Baliram, Alka Meena, Satinder Singh, Harmanbir Singh, Ashwani Kapoor, and Satwant Singh Gill.

In addition, officers Viveksheel Soni, Dr. Nanak Singh, Gaurav Garg, Deepak Hilori, Gurmeet Singh Chauhan, and Naveen Soni have been awarded section grade promotions.
