Punjab Government will honor various personalities with state awards on occasion of International Divyang Diwas

Chandigarh: Various personalities will be honored with state awards on the International Divyang Day on December 5 at Chandigarh on the occasion of the state-level event being organized by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. This was expressed by the Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur here today.

     Divulging in this regard Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister said that the International Divyang Week is being celebrated by the department from December 3 to December 10. She said that the state level function regarding the International Divyang Diwas will be held on December 5 at the Auditorium, Local Government Department, Punjab, Sector-35.

       The Cabinet Minister said that in this state-level event, employees, individuals and non-governmental organizations who have done excellent work will be honored under various categories.

     Giving further information, Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the Divyang persons will be honored for the commendable work they are doing at the district level.

      She appealed to all the Divyang persons to participate in these functions as much as possible and get information about benefiting from the various schemes going on for their welfare.
