Punjab Governor BL Purohit in Jalandhar today, PM Modi to virtually inaugurate redevelopment of railway stations

Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate 554 projects under the Amrit Bharat Yojana today, in addition to the redevelopment of various railway stations across the country.

The event will also be broadcast live in many locations. In this sequence, a state-level program has been organized in Jalandhar today, where Governor Banwari Lal Purohit will be in attendance.

In connection with this, a special program is being organized at the city railway station, where Punjab Governor Purohit, Union Minister Som Parkash, MP Sushil Rinku, DRM of Ferozepur Railway Division, and other leaders and officials will be present. Accordingly, a large pandal has been set up in the circulating area of the city railway station.

The district police have heightened security measures for the arrival of Governor Banwari Lal Purohit and Union Minister Som Parkash. Barricades were erected outside the station on Sunday, and additional police forces have been deployed for security. Dog squads and bomb disposal squads, along with other security agencies, are also on high alert.

According to the schedule, a cultural program will be presented by students from Delhi Public School and Jalandhar Public School starting at 10:45 am. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will then virtually inaugurate the event at 12:20 pm.
