Registration for Shri Amarnath Yatra begins today

New Delhi : Registration for the 62-day-long Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir began today. The union territory administration has said that the yatra will begin on July 1 this year and conclude on August 31. Registration is online and offline.

Officials said that offline registration can be done in 542 bank branches across the country, including 316 branches of Punjab National Bank, 90 branches of Jammu and Kashmir, 37 branches of Yes Bank and 99 branches of SBI Bank.
Persons in the age group of 13 to 70 years can register themselves for the yatra and a health certificate is mandatory for all pilgrimages. Women with a pregnancy of 6 weeks or more are not allowed to travel.
