Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has called an interim committee meeting on Thursday. SGPC Principal Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has called the meeting a day after a letter from Giani Raghbir Singh, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. After which it is being speculated that many important decisions can be taken regarding the release of imprisoned Sikhs in this meeting.
Giani Raghbir Singh wrote a letter to the SGPC and the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGPC) on Tuesday, ordering the release of the detained Sikhs. At the same time, it has also asked both the committees to file a report of the efforts made by them within two days, whose time ends on Friday.
