SGPC office-bearers seek removal of Narayan Singh Chaura from the Panth

Amritsar: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) office-bearers and members of its internal committee met Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh on Thursday, demanding the removal of Narayan Singh Chaura from the Panth.

The demand follows Chaura’s alleged attack on Sukhbir Singh Badal on December 4 and his reported act of opening fire on the porch of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.

The SGPC delegation included Junior Vice President Baldev Singh Kalyan and internal committee members Surjit Singh Tugalwala, Paramjit Singh Khalsa, Amrik Singh, and Ravinder Singh Khalsa.

The group urged the Jathedar to take strict action in response to Chaura’s actions.
