SIT summons Bikram Majithia again on Feb 15 in drug case

Chandigarh: After investigating the case related to multi-crore drug smuggling, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has summoned Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia for questioning again.

The SIT has issued summoned to him for questioning on February 15 and has been ordered to appear before the SIT at 11 am.

The SIT headed by new Patiala Range DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar will interrogate him for the second time. Earlier in January, he was also questioned.

The new SIT formed for this case is investigating the case at a very fast pace. This team is working on many angles. The effort behind this is that when the matter goes to court, no link is weakened.

Earlier, 4 people close to Majithia were summoned for questioning. These included the names of people who had been Majithia’s former PA and OSD.
