Chandigarh:  The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP ) launched a scathing attack on the Akali Dal after the recovery of smack (heroine) and three lakh rupees from Tejvir Singh Gill, the district head of Akali Dal’s Student Organization of India (SOI).

Addressing the media at the party headquarters on Sunday, Aam Aadmi Party Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang alleged that Tejvir Singh Gill had direct links with Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal and senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia. Akali Dal’s student union ‘Student Organization of India’ is actually ‘Smack Organization of India’ – Kang

Kang said that the ‘Student Organization of India’ is actually the ‘Smack Organization of India’. Kang also showed the media several close-ups of Bikram Majithia and Sukhbir Badal with Tejvir Singh Gill, in which the leaders can be seen talking to each other. Kang said that these pictures prove that Sukhbir Badal and Bikram Majithia have close relations with Tejvir Singh Gill and that Akali Dal leaders openly patronize drug peddlers.

Kang said that the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is fully committed to end drug mafia from Punjab. No drug mafia, no matter how powerful it is, will not be spared. Action has been taken against many officers and persons with political connections including Rajjit Singh and similar actions will be taken in future too.
