Stalled projects worth Rs 12,000 crore of NHAI in Punjab, HC orders strict orders
Punjab E News: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has come down heavily on the Punjab government over the stalled projects of NHAI. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav to hand over the possession at the earliest.
   According to the information received, due to the failure of the Punjab government, NHAI’s projects worth Rs 12,000 crore have been stalled.Â
   This includes big projects like Bharat Mala. After two years of compensation, the Punjab government has failed to get possession.
   The High Court, while issuing the order, said that after giving possession in two years, the Punjab government has failed to get the possession. Punjab DGP to get possession done within 60 days. Where needed, the help of the police should also be taken, if the police officers cooperate with them, then appropriate action should be taken against them.Â
    It is being told that NHAI will give the list of incomplete projects to the Chief Secretary of Punjab within a week after the strict order of the High Court. On the basis of that list, action will be taken by the Chief Secretary.Â
