State After Care Homes boon for needy children: Dr. Baljit Kaur

Education and skill training provides by Amritsar and Ludhiana After Care Homes

Chandigarh: Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the children who have been released from the children’s homes with incomplete education, for such children between the age of 18-21 years, the government is providing services through state after care homes.

Divulging the details in this regard, the Cabinet Minister said that the State After Care Homes provide care, food, clothing, shelter, education, medical aid, free boarding as well as vocational and educational services to make them independent.

Dr. Baljit Kaur said that there are one After Care Homes at Amritsar for girls and another in Ludhiana for boys. The benefit of this scheme can be taken by children who are released from children’s homes and no document is required to avail the benefit of the scheme.
