STF raids 13 places in Punjab, Haryana: Rs 6.19 crore found in 24 bank accounts of drug inspector

Chandigarh: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Punjab Police has booked Fazilka’s drug inspector, Sheeshan Mittal, under the NDPS Act. Following this, on Thursday, the STF raided Mittal’s properties and locations associated with him.

The STF conducted raids at 13 locations across Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. During these operations, the STF froze 24 bank accounts linked to the accused, which were being operated under various names.

The total amount found in these accounts is Rs 6.19 crore. In addition, three bank lockers have been frozen, and Rs 9 lakh in cash along with foreign currency was recovered. Furthermore, immovable property worth Rs 1.4 crore was discovered in Zirakpur.
