Tension erupt after firing near panchayat nomination centre in Moga

Moga: A stampede broke out near the nomination centre in Landheke village, part of the local municipal corporation, following gunfire during the panchayat elections. Several people sustained injuries as panic spread among the crowd.

The incident reportedly stemmed from tensions between candidates vying for the position of sarpanch, both representing the ruling party. In the chaos, nomination papers of one faction were torn and scattered.

Soon after, miscreants snatched and destroyed the nomination papers of other candidates, a video of which has since gone viral.
