Jalandhar: Today, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann flagged off a container of Jalandhar made rugby balls for Rugby World Cup, to be held in France.

It is worth mentioning that the Rugby World Cup is being held in France from September 8 to October 28 this year. This sport is not that much popular in India, but manufacturing of rugby balls in Jalandhar is a good sign for the sports industry of Punjab. In a tweet, Chief Minister Mann said that his government will get world-class recognition to Jalandhar, known as the hub of the sports industry, which was a victim of the apathy of the previous governments. Mann said that he would give all his efforts to develop Punjab as the sports capital of the country and Jalandhar as the sports goods capital.
