Three AAP MLAs take oath in Punjab Assembly after by-election victories

Chandigarh: Three Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, who secured victories in the recent by-elections for four Assembly seats in Punjab, were sworn in today. Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan administered the oath of office to Ishank Chabbewal (Chabewal), Gurdeep Singh Randhawa (Dera Baba Nanak), and Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon (Gidderbaha).

The Congress MLA from Barnala, Kuldeep Singh Kala Dhillon, who also won in the by-elections, was notably absent from the oath-taking ceremony.

The event was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, Working President Sherry Kalsi, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, and several other MLAs. With the addition of the three MLAs, the total number of AAP legislators in the Punjab Assembly has risen to 94.
