Traffic advisory and special security arrangements for Karan Aujla’s Chandigarh concert
Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Traffic Police have issued a comprehensive traffic plan and guidelines for Punjabi singer Karan Aujla’s live concert, scheduled for December 7, 2024, at the Exhibition Ground, Sector 34. With a large turnout expected, special security measures and traffic arrangements are in place to ensure smooth operations.
Parking Arrangements
Parking facilities have been allocated based on ticket categories and wristband colors:
VVIP ticket holders: Black/Grey/Brown/White/Pink wristbands – Parking at Sector 34 Mela Ground.
Fans Pit: Red wristbands – Parking near Sector 34 Gurdwara and Polka Mode.
VIP ticket holders: Blue wristbands – Parking at Sector 34 Gurdwara and nearby lots.
General Admission (GA): Yellow wristbands – Sector 17 Multi-level Parking and adjoining spaces.
A shuttle bus service will operate from Sector 17 parking to the venue.
Traffic Restrictions
From 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, only concert ticket holders will be allowed to enter Polka Mode from:
33/34 Light Point
34/35 Light Point
Other vehicles will be diverted at Indian School T-point, Dispensary Turn, and 44/45 Chowk. Emergency vehicles will have unimpeded access.
Precautions and Guidelines
1. Ticket holders are advised to arrive on time.
2. Use public transport or carpooling to reduce congestion.
3. Park only in designated parking lots; parking on roads, footpaths, or cycle tracks is prohibited.
4. Drunken driving will be penalized under the Motor Vehicles Act.
5. Strict legal action will be taken against any security breaches.
