Truck with ‘beef’ seized in Jalandhar, Hindu outfits hold protest outside police station
Jalandhar: The truck carrying suspected beef was on its way from Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir, which was stopped by Bajrang Dal and other Hindu outfits near Pathankot Chowk in Jalandhar.
Police from police station division number eight reached the spot. The truck was taken into custody and brought to the police station, after which the organizations are staging a sit-in protest outside the police station.
The investigation is underway and situation is under control, police officials said.
