Union Home Minister Amit Shah to inaugurate projects worth Rs 375 crore in Chandigarh today, Traffic diverted 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Chandigarh today. His arrival in Chandigarh is expected around 2 pm, and he plans to stay in the city for approximately 3 hours. Tight security arrangements have been implemented throughout the city in anticipation of his visit.   Consequently, several traffic diversions will be enforced along various routes in Chandigarh during his movement.
      Approximately 3,000 policemen, including a dedicated security detail, have been deployed to ensure his safety. The Minister’s program will take place at Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology in Sector 26, Chandigarh. He will inaugurate projects valued at Rs 375 crore in Chandigarh from this venue.
      To maintain the Home Minister’s security, a 250-meter radius around the venue will be restricted, prohibiting vehicle access. As a result, parking has been prohibited in the rear portion of showrooms in Sector 26 along the designated route. Additionally, vehicles will not be allowed to park from the Sector 26 police station’s front parking area to the roads and other nearby locations. The police possess a list of invited guests, VVIPs, and VIP vehicles authorized to approach the venue, permitting entry only after verifying the pass.
       The projects worth Rs 375 crore are set to be inaugurated by Home Minister Shah at Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology in Sector 26. Moreover, 44 ASIs and 700 newly appointed constables will receive their appointment letters during the event, preparations for which have already commenced under the Chandigarh administration. The Minister’s program is scheduled for the afternoon, spanning a duration of about 3 hours.
      Amit Shah will inaugurate the country’s first Center for Cyber Operation and Security, constructed at a cost of 88 crores, located at the Chandigarh Air Force Heritage Center building. Furthermore, he will also inaugurate the 140 rooms of the Himachal Boys Hostel, constructed at a cost of Rs 20 crore, situated at Punjab Engineering College.
