Will Make Foolproof Arrangements In Annual Sri Sidh Baba Sodal Fair On September 28: DC 

Jalandhar: Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal on Wednesday said that the district administration would make foolproof and adequate arrangements to facilitate the devotees coming to pay obeisance at Sri Sidh Baba Sodal Temple in the upcoming fair on September 28.

     Presiding over a meeting with the representatives of Shri Sidh Baba Sodal trust and various organizations in district administrative complex, the Deputy Commissioner said that district administration would ensure the devotees paying homage do not face any sort of inconvenience. He said that this fair was an important annual event in the region and every effort would be made to facilitate the devotees. He exhorted the people to participate in this fair with full religious gaiety and enthusiasm besides assuring fulsome support and cooperation to everyone coming at this sacred place.

       Sarangal also said that a meeting had been constituted led by experts to physically check the safety standards of all swings/joyrides in the fair. He said that every organizer of the swings/joyrides would function only after getting clearance. In order to ensure proper cleanliness around the temple premises, he asked the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar (MCJ) to appoint required staff round the clock in rotation during the fair to clean and lift the garbage on time. Similarly, he also told the civic body to install dustbins, make adequate arrangements for supply of potable drinking water, installation of temporary public toilets besides repairing all street lights and etc.

      Sarangal also told Commissionerate Police to keep close vigil on the anti-social elements during the fair. He asked fire services to station required fire tenders around the venue. Further, police authorities asked to ensure proper management of traffic during the event and place proper signboards for the convenience of the devotees.

        Sarangal also cleared the organizations that nodal officers will be appointed for ensuring smooth conduct of the event.

      Prominent amongst present in the meeting included ADC (G) Amit Mahajan , ADC UD Jasbir Singh, DCP Jagmohan Singh , SDMs and officials from municipal corporation Jalandhar .
