Woman brutally murdered in Khanna, migrant laborer arrested
Chandigarh: A shocking murder has taken place in the Malaud area of Khanna district, Punjab, where a 37-year-old woman, Satpal Kaur, was brutally killed by a migrant laborer. Satpal Kaur, a mother of three children and a resident of Siad, was attacked with a sharp weapon by the accused, identified as Bablu, who had been living in the village since 1995.
Following the incident, police swiftly took Bablu into custody and began the process of registering an FIR. The victim’s body has been sent to the mortuary at Civil Hospital Khanna for a postmortem examination.
Satpal Kaur was an active contributor to her family’s livelihood, working under the MNREGA scheme. Reports suggest that she had known Bablu for the past three years, during which time he occasionally visited her home. There are also rumors of a relationship between the two, and it is believed that a dispute between them may have led to the tragic incident.
The attack took place on Thursday night, around 8 p.m., after Satpal Kaur had dinner with her family. She was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon at a deserted location in the village. Her husband, Raju, was informed of the gruesome discovery of her blood-soaked body by the former village sarpanch around 9 p.m.
