Zira liquor factory case: Police lathi-charge, protesters detained; situation tensed

Ferozepur: A sit-in has been going on for the past few months outside the Malbrose liquor factory in Ratol Rohi village of Zira. A large number of police forces are deployed on the occasion.

Preparations are being made by the police for a major action. The police have registered a case against 14 named and 125 unidentified persons and arrested several others.
The protesters have been taken into custody by the police. Efforts are being made by the police to end the protest. At the same time, women are being stopped by the women police.
