11-year-old boy mauled to death by stray dogs in Ludhiana
Chandigarh: An 11-year-old boy was mauled to death by stray dogs in the fields near Hasanpur village, triggering outrage among locals.
The victim, Harsukhpreet Singh, son of Randhir Singh, was a Class V student at a government school in the village and the only child of his parents. The child succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
The tragic incident has left the community in mourning and sparked protests. Villagers have staged a sit-in on the Ludhiana-Ferozepur national highway, blocking traffic and demanding immediate action from authorities.
This is the second such incident reported in the area within a week. Earlier, a child from a migrant laborer’s family also lost their life in a similar dog attack.
Residents allege that stray dogs have increasingly targeted people in the region, while the administration remains unresponsive.
