3 labourers killed, 2 in critical condition after wall of sheller collapses in Sunam

Chandigarh: Three labourers were killed and two others seriously injured when a wall of a newly-constructed sheller collapsed in the nearby village of Kanakwal Bhangwan in Sunam today, police said.

A new sheller is being constructed on the Lehragaga road of Kanakwal Bhangwan, whose wall collapsed while plastering the wall. Due to this, the workers were buried down.

Janak Raj (50), a resident of Dharamgarh village, and Amandeep Singh (30), a resident of Hero Khurd village, were rushed to the civil hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.

Meanwhile, the injured Krishan Singh, a resident of Ratangarh Patanwali village, and Bittu Singh, a resident of Village Heeron Khurd, were referred to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala due to their critical condition.

Bittu Singh, a resident of Hero Khurd, also died at Patiala. The labourer, Jagseer Singh, a resident of Dharamgarh Sunam, is undergoing treatment at the government hospital.
