50 children hospitalised after eating food at Hockey Stadium in Chandigarh
Chandigarh News: Some players of the Punjab Institute of Sports, located at the International Hockey Stadium in Phase 9 here, started vomiting after consuming porridge this morning. They informed the warden about it. The player said that they had allegedly seen a dead lizard in a plate, after which panic spread there and about 50 players were admitted to phase 6 government hospital.
Except for three players, all the other players are absolutely fine. Three players are being treated. SMO of government hospital Dr HS Cheema said that as soon as they got the information, they sent teams to the sports complex.
The players were brought to the hospital and admitted and the food was checked. The condition of all the players is fine and they are being discharged from the hospital. The parents of the children have also started arriving here. They have demanded an in-depth probe into the matter.
