6 roads in Punjab blocked by farmers Union after a farmer commits suicide
Ludhiana News: Farmers in Punjab today blocked six roads in Ludhiana. The reason for this is the suicide of Ludhiana resident Sukhwinder Singh, a victim of fraud by land mafia. Angry over not getting justice in the case, the angry farmers are sitting on the front till they get justice.
The Sidhupur farmers’ union has demanded justice by investigating the case by the SIT. But due to lack of hearing by the police-administration, the deceased farmer’s brother Dildar Singh and Punjab Kisan Sangathan General Secretary Kaka Singh Kotda are sitting on a death fast. The farmers said that the SIT has been abolished by the land mafia by taking a stay from the High Court. He has again demanded justice for the investigation by the SIT.
The farmers’ body said that farmer Sukhwinder Singh had sold his 7.75 acres of land in 2004, but the farmer was cheated by changing the date of land agreement by a land mafia from 1 to 21. Farmer Sukhwinder Singh has been constantly approaching the court and police officials for the last 20 years. All his capital was invested in the cases.
