94 trains affected due to protests by ex-servicemen: Haryana-Punjab-Delhi-UP passengers suffer

Commuters from Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh are facing numerous challenges following protests by ex-servicemen at Shambhu station in Punjab, demanding One Rank-One Pension. 
     This agitation has significantly impacted 94 trains in the Ambala division, affecting both passenger and mail express services.
      The Railways have canceled several trains due to the protests, while others were either short-terminated or diverted. For instance, on Saturday, the Shatabdi Express departing from Amritsar to Delhi was rerouted via Chandigarh.
       According to Railway officials, 20 Mail Express and 13 passenger trains have been canceled. Additionally, 32 Mail Express trains have been redirected through alternative routes, 20 trains have been short-terminated, and 9 trains have been short-originated.  Moreover, 15 freight rakes were diverted, and 35 freight train rakes have been stalled along their routes.
