A day after revolt in party, SAD Working Committee affirms full faith in Sukhbir Singh Badal’s leadership

Chandigarh: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Wednesday called upon the people of Punjab to remain alert against the deep-rooted conspiracy being hatched to defame Punjabis, especially the Sikhs, by vitiating the atmosphere by undermining the peace and brotherhood prevailing in the state and blaming it on the Sikhs.

The resolution passed in the party’s working committee said that a dangerous and deep-rooted conspiracy is being hatched to create communal polarisation for petty political interests in Punjab.

Again, by deciding communal hatred, the old game of spreading violence in the state is being played, which is being tried to be put on the Sikhs and attempts are being made to defame our youth since the 1980s.

In a separate and unanimous resolution, the Working Committee also expressed full faith and appreciation in the leadership of party president Sukhbir Singh Badal (Sukhbir Singh Badal), who is fully firm and committed. The working committee empowered the president to reconstitute the party in accordance with the party’s constitution. The committee members also took note of attempts to tarnish the image of the president.
