AAP leader Manish Sisodia in Amritsar today, pays obeisance at Golden Temple
Amritsar: Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia visited Punjab today for the first time after being granted bail in the liquor scam case.
Upon Sisodia’s arrival in Amritsar, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also arrived and joined him in paying obeisance at the Golden Temple.
CM Mann warmly welcomed Sisodia with a hug. The two leaders had a private conversation in a closed room at a hotel in Amritsar before proceeding to the Golden Temple.
CM Mann remarked that Sisodia, along with his family, visited the Golden Temple after receiving justice from the Supreme Court and being granted bail. He expressed his belief that the cases against Sisodia were baseless and would not hold up in court.
Mann further commented that the efforts to implicate Sisodia are part of a larger attempt to target Arvind Kejriwal. He noted that there was previously no evidence against Sanjay Singh, emphasizing that the Centre is trying to weaken the Aam Aadmi Party by briefly imprisoning its leaders. However, he asserted that such actions would not cause any rift within the party.
