AAP MLAs and workers detained for participating in the protest: Kejriwal
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs and workers were being halted and detained as they attempted to participate in a protest outside the BJP headquarters.
This demonstration was organized in opposition to the alleged “fraud” in the Chandigarh mayoral election. Simultaneously, the BJP is also staging a protest against corruption in the Kejriwal government, prompting heightened security measures in central Delhi.
Police have established barricades on various roads leading to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg and deployed additional personnel.
The BJP is set to conduct its sit-in near the AAP headquarters, with both party headquarters situated on the same road, separated by a few hundred meters.
