AAP to examine reasons for Lok Sabha poll defeat, CM Mann to hold meetings with all MLAs, workers
Chandigarh: The party will thoroughly investigate the reasons for the defeat of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Lok Sabha elections. Despite having the AAP government in the state, the party won only three out of 13 Lok Sabha seats.
Now, discussions have begun on this matter. CM Bhagwant Mann will hold a meeting with all his MLAs and members of the organization starting tomorrow.
Sources have revealed that the government has sought a report from its intelligence wing about the role of MLAs during the Lok Sabha elections and the shortcomings in the elections. This report will reach the CM before the meeting. However, there is no immediate plan to change the cabinet.
The meeting has been scheduled for June 7. The party’s organization secretary, Sandeep Pathak, will also be present. The meeting will attempt to identify the reasons for the party’s significant losses.
Meanwhile, teams from the CM’s Office are also working on their reports. The CM has ordered the officials of his office to address the complaints and demand letters received during the election.
