AAP unanimously declares its sarpanch of Warring village ahead of Panchayat polls
Punjab News: In Khadoor Sahib constituency, AAP leaders have started the practice of capturing sarpanches under the guise of consensus to their leaders even before the end of the panchayat term, challenging the instructions of the Election Commission after the dissolution of the panchayats. AAP leaders have unanimously elected AAP leader Avtar Singh Matharu as sarpanch from Village Warring in the constituency and elected about half a dozen members, which is being discussed in the entire constituency Khadoor Sahib.
However, even though the panchayat elections are four to five months away, the AAP leaders have started the process of getting sarpanches, showing the instructions of the election system in a shambles, about which the AAP leaders of Khadoor Sahib constituency are sharing happiness with each other on Facebook. At the same time, this election has exposed the desire of AAP leaders to capture the upcoming panchayat elections, opposition said.
