AAP upholding Dr. Ambedkar’s vision through historic gegal, educational reforms: MLA Inderjit Kaur Mann
Says previous Governments betrayed SC community for votes; AAP bringing real empowerment
Nakodar News: MLA Nakodar Inderjit Kaur Mann on Tuesday said it is the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) that has taken concrete steps to truly empower SC community and fulfill the vision of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Launching a scathing attack on previous Congress and SAD-BJP governments, she accused them of ignoring the real issues of SC community in the state.
Addressing media persons, the MLA highlighted a landmark decision of the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab Government by implementing reservation in appointments to the Punjab Advocate General’s Office for the first time in state history. “A total of 58 posts have been filled under the SC/ST quota, a demand that was long neglected by previous governments despite repeated efforts by AAP in the Assembly since 2017,” said Mann.
She further informed that the AAP government has also eased eligibility conditions by slashing income criteria by 50 percent. This move has enabled deserving SC/ST advocates to be appointed to top legal positions such as Additional Advocate General, Deputy Advocate General, and Assistant Advocate General, thus ensuring meaningful representation at higher levels.
Inderjit Kaur Mann also underlined the government’s strong commitment to education reform, citing the ongoing transformation in Punjab’s education sector as a direct reflection of Dr. Ambedkar’s emphasis on education as the foundation of empowerment. “Our schools are evolving into institutions of excellence, and this is the real tribute to Baba Sahib’s legacy,” she stated.
She further emphasized that the inclusion of six ministers from the SC community in the Punjab Cabinet is a powerful testament to AAP’s inclusive governance model.
“Under the visionary leadership of AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, we are not just making promises—we are delivering real change,” she concluded.
