Aarat Association president attacked in Fatehabad, shifted to Amritsar in critical condition

Amritsar: Jaskaran Singh Jass, president of the Aarat Association in Fatehabad town, was seriously injured after being attacked by three unidentified assailants armed with sharp weapons on Friday.

The incident took place while Jass was sitting at his shop. According to eyewitnesses, three masked youths arrived and assaulted him, leaving him critically wounded.

He was initially rushed to the Civil Hospital in Khadoor Sahib, where doctors provided first aid and later referred him to Amritsar for advanced treatment.

Gurpal Singh, in-charge of Police post Fatehabad, said that the police have started recording Jass’s statement and a case is being registered.

He added that efforts are underway to identify and arrest the attackers. Preliminary information suggests that a monetary dispute may have been the motive behind the assault.
