Action taken on 10 schools in Ludhiana for violation of government orders

Chandigarh: In view of the scorching heat, the Punjab government had announced holidays in all government and private schools from May 20 to May 31 and ordered that strict action would be taken as per rules if any school was found open.

However, some schools in Ludhiana were open in summer and children were commuting to school in the scorching heat, which was also opposed by family members.

Despite the government’s order, some schools in Ludhiana were openly flouting all the rules and regulations, while some family members complained to the DC, after which DC Sakshi Sahni took strong cognizance and ordered action after investigation.
