After Akali Dal debacle in LS, Manpreet Ayali sidelines himself from party activities

Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali has decided to stay away from party activities until the implementation of the Jhunda Committee report, pointing fingers at the performance of his party leadership.

“The SAD is the apex organization of the Panth and Punjab, which has a glorious history. However, due to the decisions taken by the party leaders in recent times, there has been a massive ideological decline in the party,” Ayali wrote on his Facebook page.

“The party also failed to recognize the concerns of the farmers earlier and the Panthic thinking currently prevailing in Punjab. Today, the party needs to make significant decisions to gain the trust of farmers, the Panth, and Punjabis so that the party can be strengthened at the grassroots level,” he added.
