After Peshawar, bomb blast in Quetta, police post targeted, many injured
New Delhi: A huge bomb exploded near a police post in Quetta in Balochistan province of Pakistan on Sunday. Rescue officials said at least five people were injured in the blast near the Quetta Police Lines area.
Edhi activist Zeeshan Ahmed, who was leading the rescue operation at the site, told Pakistani media that the injured were taken to the Civil Hospital in Quetta.
Police and emergency teams have rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area, he said. The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement issued on Sunday.
