Akal Takht Jathedar calls for exemplary punishment for Sajjan Kumar

Amritsar: Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh has called for exemplary punishment for Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, who was convicted in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.

Speaking to the media outside the Sri Akal Takht Sahib Secretariat, he reiterated that those responsible for the Sikh genocide must face strict action.

Jathedar Singh also supported the demand for capital punishment for Sajjan Kumar, stating that such a precedent would deter similar incidents in the future.

Meanwhile, he is expected to meet SGPC president Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, who recently resigned from his post. Jathedar Singh has already urged Dhami to withdraw his resignation and may do so again during their meeting.
