Akal Takht summons SAD president Sukhbir Badal, asks to explain allegations within 15 days

Amritsar: In a significant decision taken after a gathering of the five Singh Sahibans at Sri Akal Takht Sahib today, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal has been directed to appear in person within 15 days to address the allegations leveled by the rebel Akali group in the past.

Acting on the complaint, they observed that Sukhbir Singh Badal had not expressed sectarian sentiments, and he has been asked to explain this. The SGPC has also been asked to explain the advertisements it issued regarding the dera chief’s apology.

To prevent incidents of sacrilege, the Singh Sahibans have ordered round-the-clock guarding of the Gurdwara Sahibs.
