All employees of Punjab to get 119 per cent DA from July 2015

Chandigarh: Punjab government employees have received great good news from the High Court. All employees of Punjab will get 119 per cent DA in the next three months from July 1, 2015. The Additional Advocate General, appearing for the Punjab government, has filed an affidavit in this regard in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The state’s counsel admitted before a bench of Justice Anil Khetrapal that all employees are entitled to the benefit.

He also admitted that all employees should be treated equally without any discrimination. Kuljit Singh and other employees had approached the court for allowances. The petitioners had sought release of the same allowance as other employees.
Seeking directions to the Punjab government and the parties concerned to extend the benefits, advocate Amrik Singh, appearing for the petitioners, claimed that each employee has already been given the benefits through another petition.
