Amritpal Singh’s father to launch political party at Maghi Mela
Chandigarh: Tarsem Singh, father of Amritpal Singh a MP from Khadoor Sahib, has announced plans to form a new political party in Punjab during the upcoming Maghi Mela on January 14.
Speaking on the development, Tarsem Singh stated that his son, Amritpal Singh, currently held in Assam’s Dibrugarh jail under the National Security Act (NSA), will lead the party upon his release. Until then, Tarsem Singh will oversee the party’s activities.
The name and agenda of the party will be unveiled in the presence of the Singh Sangat at the event.
Amritpal Singh, leader of the ‘Waris Punjab De’ outfit, was arrested alongside his supporters on February 23 in Rode village, Moga district, following allegations of an attack on the Ajnala police station.
