Amritpal Singh’s wife detained at Amritsar airport while trying to flee to London

Punjab E News: Kirandeep Kaur, wife of Amritpal Singh, a Khalistani supporter who has been declared a fugitive in Punjab and wanted across the country, was detained by the police at Amritsar airport on Thursday while she was on her way to London.

According to information received from sources, Kirandeep Kaur was trying to escape from Amritsar Airport to Birmingham, in this connection she reached Amritsar Airport, but on the basis of secret information, the police already present at the airport detained her and started interrogating her.
Significantly, Kirandeep Kaur is accused of funding Khalistani supporters. The 28-year-old Kirandeep Kaur is a UK citizen and she is already a Khalistani supporter, sources in the police said.
She was in touch with separatist outfit Babbar Khalsa even before she married Amritpal and managed funds for the WPD headed by her husband Amritpal Singh. Due to these actions, she came under the radar of the UK Police in 2020, police sources said.
